Time indeed flies and folks I’m writing to tell you it has flown! As I write there remains only three weeks before we are to knock on the doors of seven “down and out” White Mountain families to whom we have committed and already notified of our plan to bestow on them a helping hand for Christmas.
By the time your eyes read these words my guess is there are just about two weeks to go before its “Show Time”.
Fellow Mountain Motorcyclists…. I am making a most urgent “Call to Action” to each and every member of our association and to anyone catching word of our plight who cares. There is no time for thinking about it.
The seven families we’ve selected along with a brief list of their needs and request are printed in this edition of our newsletter. We have only one function taking place prior to our planned distribution date to the families.
Saturday December 13th we are to be at Wal-Mart setting up our “Angel Tree” asking the community to assist by picking an angel, fulfilling the wish listed theron during that shopping trip and dropping it off on their way out.
I would really like to see every member of our group make an appearance that day and contribute however much (or little) they can. Make Saturday December 13, 2008 your day to show and do your part. Should poor weather prevail then “Cage it”. I know… if you show… we will succeed.
Ben and I are committed to approaching many businesses over the next two week and hope to make a serious impact on the amount needed to pull this off. For those of you who want to approach a business or friends of yours who may want to contribute I have prepared a letter of introduction and purpose for you to carry and present when making your pitch. Stop by White Mountain Paralegal and pick up as many as you think you’ll need.
By day’s end on Saturday December 13, 2008 we will know where we stand and will have only one week to hustle and make compensation for our shortcomings.
So Everybody…Let’s come through. Lets come shining through!!
